noch ein Gemaelde

This is another painting I did severals moons ago. I painted this one with a palette knife and acrylic and flourescent acrylic paint on stretched canvas when I was unemployed. This biggest problem I have with painting are art nazis who think that art should have rules and a general lack of customers. This painting took about an hour to do and it remains one of my favorites.

I am not an art Nazi... manifestly speaking

Of course not... I was thinking about some of my more recent experiences involving excursions into the art world here.

There are some excellent artists out here, but get tired of listening to the blubbering of requirements and so on from folks who prefer artistic traditions. I have nothing against such traditions being practiced, but I hate anyone trying to make me conform to such things.

We went for the name Beat The Dutch because it was some sort of non-conformist group active during the slave trade.
That electric mando has my curiosity. It's a cool avatar too. Great design for a mandolin.
I've been shopping for a mandolin for a while. An electric one would be the thing.
If you catch me on the cam I can pan over my guitars if you're interested. Right now I'm on my way outside. But try me later!
I can also show you the vortex!

I like the ripple effect in the paint.

I have several canvases and a new set of acrylics waiting for me to get back into painting.

Thanks Andy. The texture is definitely one of the things I like about it too. I've painted a couple dozen pictures using the same technique and could easily paint lots more.

Ticharu - I am curious about what kind of instrumental menagerie lies at your disposal. I tried Plum TV earlier and caught a view of your face, but I distinctly got the impression that Stickam would work better with more memory than I currently have and broadband speed throughput.

I thought that might have been you... I suspect the speed issue would be a hinderence. You must take out a second & third mortgage to upgrade for the 21st century!

I didn't mean to get you all droolin' like, it's just that they are hanging above me and if I point the camera skyward you get a pretty cool perspective of guitar bodies!

I could just take some snaps with the cam and post them later on Legs.

That would definitely be cool. I'm going to eventually display some more of the things I use for noisemaking on this blog. I suppose I could sell my wife's car to upgrade, but...
